.1 The SAF Option is offered for any purchase of a ticket on Air France flights, regardless of their origin or destination. 2.2 Under the SAF Option, Customers can choose the level of contribution they wish to allocate to support the purchase of SAF by Air France, in view of the estimated CO₂ emissions of their journey. 2.3 The Price of the SAF Option is calculated based on the estimated CO₂ emissions generated by the flight(s) selected by the Customer and the contribution level chosen by them. 2.4 The SAF Option is a voluntary and entirely optional contribution, which complements the SAF contribution already included in the price of all flights operated by Air France departing from France and for all Air France flights from January 1, 2025 (the amount of this surcharge is indicated in the ticket fare details as "Contribution to sustainable aviation fuels"). 2.5 The Customer can subscribe to a SAF Option on the Air France Website during the ticket booking process, after the ticket reservation in the "My Bookings" tab, and during online check-in. The Customer will receive an email confirming its subscription. 2.6 All funds paid by the Customer under the SAF Option will be used exclusively for the future purchase of SAF within 12 (twelve) months following the flight(s) for which the SAF Option was subscribed, subject to product availability on the market. 2.7 In case of unavailability of SAF on the market preventing Air France from meeting the 12 (twelve) months deadline as referred to in article 2.6 above, this period will be extended until the end of the unavailability period, it being specified that in any case, the funds collected under the SAF Option cannot be used for any other purpose than the purchase of SAF. 2.8 The Customer is expressly informed, and accepts, that there is no direct correlation between the SAFs purchased by Air France thanks to their subscription to the SAF Option and the amount of SAF actually allocated to the flight or flights on which the Customer will be transported.
.1 The Customer may request a refund of the SAF Option by completing an online claim accessible via the "Contact Us" section of the Air France Website, provided that this refund request is made before the start of its journey and exclusively in the following cases: (i) The flight ticket for which the Customer had purchased an SAF Option is canceled by Air France. (ii) The Customer holding a Full Flex ticket cancels its flight within the validity of the flight ticket.
.1 Any claim concerning the subscription, payment, and/or provision of the SAF Option must be addressed to Air France via the online claim form accessible via the "Claims" link in the "Contact Us" section on the Air France Website.
.1 Air France reserves the right to make changes to the SAF Option and these General Terms and Conditions of Sale at any time. Subscriptions to the SAF Option will be subject to the General Terms and Conditions of Sale in force at the time of reservation unless a change to these General Terms and Conditions of Sale is required by law or a governmental authority (in which case this change will also apply to all already subscribed SAF Options).
.1 These General Terms and Conditions of Sale are subject to French law.
